LA CLAUSTRA is an exceptional seminar and individual hotel on 2,050 m a.s.l. on the Gotthard pass, deep inside the mountain with 20,000 m³ of space and more than 4,000 m² of surface. The stylish, clear architecture and the well thought-out interaction of light, rock, glass and wood characterise the unique ambience. The artist Jean Odermatt was the man behind this extraordinary idea and architectural mas-terpiece.

The foundation runs a research centre for art, science and craftwork in this former artillery fortress «San Carlo».
